I bought this game because I was attracted to the cute pixel art characters.
A game in which you aim to conquer a dungeon (tower) that is automatically generated every 24 hours.
There are three basic controls: jump, double jump, and summon sword.

There are no normal attacks, and the only way to damage enemies is by summoning a sword, which has a cooldown period.
Basically, the main focus is to avoid enemies and not attack unless absolutely necessary.
Tower of Eternity is also compatible with network functions and includes a score ranking system.

Also, at the location where the player loses the game, a tombstone is erected and the player can leave a message, but as for whether it provides any hints on how to beat the game...it's kind of...meh.
Before the dungeon update, you would basically be conquering maps with the same structure, so once you memorize the pattern, it's not that difficult to conquer.

Although it is a Metroidvania game, it is relatively easy to get into.
The detailed pixel art and smooth animation, combined with the speed of the game itself, make it seem like art.

The best parts of Metroidvania are "growth" and "exploration."
The exploration aspect in particular can be said to be the main enjoyment of the Metroidvania genre.
The fun of exploring increases as you acquire new items, skills, and expand your range of action.
My impression after playing it is that the developer loves side-scrolling and Metroidvania games and has made them with care.

In the case of horror, this would include sound effects, the atmosphere on screen, and other scary production techniques.
This game is not particularly well-made, but it is one that makes me look forward to the games this developer will create in the future.
