I attended "Potafes 2023 Summer Akihabara," which was held at Bellesalle Akihabara for two days on July 8th and 9th, 2023, so I'd like to report on the event.

PotaFes 2023 Summer Akihabara

PotaFes is one of Japan's largest audio events, with exhibits from brands and manufacturers of earphones, headphones, and other products from around the world, allowing visitors to see and listen to the latest models.
By the way, admission to the merchandise and potafest venue is free.
Many of the latest earphones and headphones from various manufacturers are on display

This time, we are using three floors of Bellesalle Akihabara, from B1 to 2nd floor.

In addition to exhibiting a variety of earphones and headphones for music listening and gaming, booths from well-known and new entrant manufacturers will be on display.
Products related to portable audio, earphones and headphones were on display.

There was also merchandise for sale on the first floor, and during the festival, there was a chance to purchase 482 used, unopened items from various manufacturers and brands at reasonable prices, so there was a longer line than at any other booth.
Furthermore, at the food booth, in addition to the Nagasaki Kakuni Burger from "Iwasaki Honpo", Osaka Ohsho, which is participating in Potafest for the first time, will be selling a collaborative menu from a food car outside on the first floor!

Gyoza eaten outside is delicious.
...And now I would like to introduce some manufacturers that I found interesting based on my own personal opinions and prejudices.
Shure

This is the booth of Shure, a company that I personally use.

The KSE1500 electrostatic sound-isolating earphones offer excellent connectivity across all frequency bands and a solid high-frequency response. Because they require high voltage, they come bundled with an amplifier, making them not the easiest to carry around, but the vividness of their sound and sound isolation are on another level, so be sure to give them a listen!

By the way, Shure was running a campaign where if you took a photo of the product you were listening to and posted it on Twitter, you would be entered into a draw to win original goods, and I won third prize.

I got the third prize: a tote bag and a thermo stainless steel mug.
Each booth is running a variety of social media campaigns, so it's definitely worth participating in Potafest!
Roland

At the booth of Roland, a major Japanese electronic musical instrument manufacturer, four types of headphones were on display.
From the left: the flagship model of the Roland RH series, the RH-300
VMH-D1 headphones specially designed for playing electronic drums
"Crossfade M-100 Master" specialized for track making
The Crossfade 3 Wireless headphones offer powerful bass and a stylish design that's perfect for DJing.
It has become.
I was previously using the RH-300 as a monitor for DTM, so I tried out the Crossfade M-100 Master headphones, which have better sound insulation than the RH-300, and I thought they might be useful for producing dance music like EDM or for DJing!

I was also interested in the gaming mixer "RIDGE CAST," which is equipped with high-quality audio processing functions.
There are many other manufacturers
In addition to the manufacturers and brands introduced here, there will be a variety of other booths displaying attractive products, and there will be stage events such as talk shows with artists and celebrities during the festival, so if you're interested in earphones and headphones, why not take part in Potafes?
