[2025 Golden Week] A one-day Akihabara itinerary for dates and fun with friends

Golden Week in 2025 will be divided into four consecutive days, from April 26th and 27th, and from May 3rd to 6th.
If you take April 28th, 30th, May 1st, and 2nd off, you can achieve your dream of an 11-day holiday!

This year's Golden Week, many people will likely choose to visit spots where they can thoroughly enjoy themselves on a day trip rather than traveling far away.

So, we at the Akihabara Base Camp editorial team would like to suggest two routes that will allow you to fully enjoy Akihabara in one day: a route for going with friends and a route for couples!

Route with friends

Meeting: Electric Town Exit

There are three JR exits, and the easiest way to get to the store is the Electric Town exit.
There are north and south exits, but the south exit is less crowded, making it easier to meet up.

Beep Akihabara is so deep that you might think it only sells niche products, and you'll be hooked from the very first stop.

Beep Akihabara is a shop that has been very helpful to us at Akihabara Base Camp.
I also used their help when I went on a journey to find the original PlayStation at the end of last year.

The restaurant area on the 8th floor of Yodobashi has a total of 32 stores!
You're sure to find a restaurant that suits both of your tastes.

2st place:Cat Cafe MOCHA Akihabara

After lunch, relax and be soothed by the cats!

There are many shops and workshops with a craftsmanship theme, selling unique and stylish products made by artisans and designers.

The exhibit will be by a shop called "Creative Iron," which creates multipurpose stainless steel accessories.

The Western-style lunch plate for adults and children is so cute!
The nostalgic Neapolitan pasta and the slightly more adult-flavored hamburger steak will remind you of the children's set meals of the past.
