[Samduksa] The strongest metallic button has arrived! [Arcade Controller Button]

Akihabara BC

Finally! Finally! The ultimate arcade controller button has arrived!
It's called SAMDUCKSA's SDB-202!
This button is like a combination of the Sanwa button and the GamerFinger button, but it is exactly like theIt's finally out...It is a product with the performance described above.

This time I got hold of the SDB-202, so I would like to introduce and review the product.
I hope that after reading this article, SAMDUCKSA arcade stick buttons will become one of your options for button replacement.

What is SAMDUCKSA SDB-202?

It looks the same as Sanwa's buttons, but the switches are equipped with Cherry MX Silver Switches (silver axes).
The buttons on the GamerFinger that we introduced previously were equipped with the same switches, so the compatibility between silver switches and arcade stick buttons has already been proven.

So, what's different about the buttons on this SAMDUCKSA?
I'll introduce it with photos of the product.

Buy SAMDUCKSA buttons online

One day in January, a package arrived at my house.

These are SAMDUCKSA arcade controller buttons (gunmetal) that I purchased from Attassa.

What a price,900 yen each!
I bought six of them5,400 yen!
Considering that a GamerFinger button costs about 700 yen each, this is about 200 yen more expensive.
However, this only applies to the metallic color, which costs 900 yen; the price goes down even further for the clear and regular colors.
Considering that GamerFinger mainly focuses on clear buttons, SAMDUCKSA's clear buttons are also priced at about the same, so I guess the price is reasonable.
*Metallic finishes include silver, gold, and gunmetal! (All 900 yen)

By the way, they are also available at Sengoku Denko in Akihabara, where they cost 920 yen each.
Atassa isFree shipping on orders over 5,000 yenSo it's best to decide which one to buy based on the number of items you want to purchase.

Installing the SAMDUCKSA button

As I wrote at the beginning, the appearance is almost the same as the metallic Sanwa buttons.
Also, the installation method is screw-type rather than snap-type.

When you remove the top cover, you will find a silver switch inside.
Unlike the GamerFinger, it does not contain any cushioning material, so it is slightly less quiet when hitting the bottom.
It may be possible to attach a silent ring for the keyboard to the connection part, but this would likely change the stroke when pressing the button.

Currently, I am using the metallic blue and red Sanwa buttons that were sold exclusively at EVO Japan 2020, but I would like to replace these six buttons with SAMDUCKSA buttons.

For basic button replacement, please refer to the following:

Continued: Installing the SAMDUCKSA button

While you're fixing the problem with super glue, replace the button.
The screw-type button is attached to the arcade controller after removing the main body and ring.

Attach the ring before inserting the cable

The ring has serrations to prevent slipping (?), so fit the ring so that the serrations touch the surface of the main body.

I replaced all six and added metallic blue and red buttons to the two ends.A sense of self" is displayed.

SAMDUCKSA button sound comparison

Finally, I would like to compare the sound of SAMDUCKSA buttons and Sanwa buttons.
Metallic red → Standard Sanwa buttons
Gray top → Sanwa new silent button (Estramer)
Gunmetal → SAMDUCK SA button (silver switch)

There is a slight sound when the button hits the bottom, but because the switch is a silver axis, the sound is less resonant than with standard Sanwa buttons.
The only option for a metallic color and quiet sound is the SAMDUCKSA, but for people like me who are particular about appearance but also want quiet sound, isn't it the best option?
The high price of 900 yen per unit is a drawback, but this will be a must-buy for anyone looking for a button that looks fun, has a light switching stroke, and is quiet.
They have it in stock at Sengoku Denko in Akihabara, so if you're interested, why not give it a try?
