[COVID-19] Akihabara reopens after the state of emergency is lifted [Business reopening]
The state of emergency was lifted on May 25th, and many stores in Akihabara have resumed business since June 1st.
The number of people dropped dramatically during the self-restraint period, but what is the situation now?
We will report on the current state of Akihabara as of June 4th.
State of emergency lifted! Akihabara on June 4th
Hydrofluoric acid causes odor uproar
On the morning of June 4th, a chemical believed to be hydrofluoric acid was found spilled behind Mansei Meat, near the vending machine corner, causing a commotion.

By midday it was completely quiet.
Many stores have resumed business

Radio Kaikan will reopen on June 1st.
I feel like the area in front of the station has become lively again.

The AkiBa on the first floor of Radio Kaikan was having a sale on souvenir sweets.

It feels like it's been a while since I last visited a hobby shop!
It's always fun to see the products lined up in the store.

Yodobashi Akiba, a landmark on the Showa-dori side, was only open on one floor for a while, but the entire building has now resumed operations.

DCD on the 6th floor has also resumed operations!!
It's a relief that the arcades in Akihabara are not open yet...

Seek Base under the Yamanote Line overpass has also resumed business.
The nearby Chabara seems to be reopening from June 8th.

Gachapon Kaikan has reopened for business.
Since I had the chance, I decided to play the Aikatsu! series.

Ran-chan appeared on the first try!!
I did it!!

The Deranannan Akihabara store where I usually buy glow sticks has also reopened for business.

Apparently they're having a sale during June.

Since I was there, I bought some glow sticks (for the second time today).
I think I'll use it when watching broadcasts.

I also went to Kanda Myojin Shrine.

Kanda Myojin Cultural Exchange Center has resumed operations.
They also sell souvenirs.

Some stores are still closed

Nikuno Mansei is still closed

All arcades, including Sega and Rejaran, are closed.

The duty-free shops look pretty tough.

Sengoku Densho in Radio Department Store is currently closed.

Arcade controller parts seem to be sold at the main store.

The indoor store, which sells game-related apparel, will only be open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
The move is expected to take place in late July.

Henry's Burger and Hakata FuRyu Akihabara Showa-dori store will be closed from temporary closure.

The site of Chatime, which used to sell tapioca, is set to become another tapioca shop called Aritoru.
Akihabara is regaining its vitality
As expected, the reopening of Radio Kaikan is a big deal.
Just this alone has made the Electric Town entrance look much more vibrant, and it feels like Akihabara has returned.
The number of people was still increasing, although not as many as usual.
However, with concerns about a second wave of the coronavirus, it's hard to say whether this is a good thing.
