Recommended Used Camera Stores in Akihabara [Used, Film, Digital]
The summer of 2019 is coming to an end, and soon autumn will arrive, bringing with it the autumn leaf viewing season! I want to capture precious memories from my trip in photos!
Also, it seems like film cameras have become popular among young people in recent years!
So, I'd like to introduce some recommended stores selling used cameras in Akihabara (roughly)
There are many camera stores in Akihabara, and most of them sell used cameras at prices lower than the retail price (I'm not saying they're cheap).
Recommended used camera stores in Akihabara
Kitamura Camera Akihabara Store

A used camera store located in a building right next to Yodobashi Camera.
It may be difficult to find the store, but if you enter the building next to Yoshinoya near Yodobashi, you will find the sales floor of Camera Kitamura on the 4th floor. By the way, the 3rd floor seems to be the purchase floor.

This store has a wide selection of film camera bodies and lenses. Of course, they also carry digital cameras. This is the best place in Akihabara to find a selection of used cameras! They also sell new cameras. Perfect for beginners to the dark side of the camera world.
Hasegawa Building No. 401, 10 Kanda Matsunagacho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo 101-0023

Lemon Company Akihabara Store

This camera specialty store is located just a 2-minute walk from the Showa-dori exit of the station.
Lemon Co. is a group company headquartered in Kansai, and operates five stores, primarily in Tokyo, Yokohama, and Nagoya.

To enter the store, take the elevator to the third floor.

The store is small, so there aren't as many items as Kitamura, but the selection of used camera products is extensive.

It seemed like they had a wide selection of used film cameras, lenses, and junk items, including not only foreign brands like Rollei but also Japanese brands. They also buy camera products. This is for people who are just starting to get into lenses, not just cameras.
Yamanaka Building 3F, 1-19 Kanda Sakumacho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo 101-0025
Hours: 10: 00 ~ 19: 30

Akihabara Nisshin Camera Main Store

This used camera store is located across the bridge from the Showa-dori exit of Akihabara Station, across the Kanda River on Showa-dori. The store is not very large, but the selection of used cameras is average. There are fewer junk items than at other stores, but when it comes to film, they have a larger selection than any other store in Akihabara. They also buy camera products. This store is for people who have already fallen into the camera swamp and then into the film swamp.
1F Seishin Building, 1-13 Iwamotocho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo 101-0033
Business hours: Monday to Friday 10:00-20:00 Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays 10:00-19:00

[Brick and Mortar Store Closed] Akiba Camera

This used camera store is a two-minute walk from the Electric Town exit. It is relatively new among the used camera stores in Akihabara, and the store is small, so the selection is limited, but it does carry bargains on used film, digital cameras, and vintage lenses, making it a great place for people who have fallen into the camera swamp.
Purchases and sales at physical stores are currently closed.

Hours: 12: 00 ~ 19: 00
Phone: 03-6206-8191
Tokyo Camera
This used camera store is located in an alley about a seven-minute walk from the Showa-dori exit along Showa-dori towards Ueno. It just reopened on September 14th of this year, relocating to a location a few dozen meters away from its previous location.
Like Akiba Camera, it is a relatively new store in Akihabara, but its downside is that it is the farthest from the station.
This is a store that specializes in film camera products.
Ushiwaka Building 1F, 1-13-8 Taito, Taito-ku, Tokyo 110-0016
Business hours: Weekdays 12:00-20:00 Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays 11:00-18:00 Closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

So, we've put together a list of recommended used camera stores in Akihabara!
However, cameras are incredibly complex and intimidating. You start with a cheap, lightweight digital camera, and then when you find that's not enough, you move on to zoom lenses, prime lenses, and even high-performance compact cameras and film cameras... and you'll reach a point of no return!
Welcome to the camera swamp! (Bang)
