Coin lockers at JR Akihabara Station
JR Akihabara Station has over 800 coin lockers.
First, let's introduce the items installed inside and outside the station.
You can use the lockers inside the ticket gates even if you are not using the train, but you will need to purchase an admission ticket (140 yen).
By the way, if you enter using an IC card such as Suica, PASMO, or ICOCA, the admission ticket fee will be automatically deducted from your balance.

From the Yamanote Line/Keihin-Tohoku Line platform, go down to the ticket gate floor and it is on the right hand side, near the central ticket gate.
There are lockers large enough to fit suitcases, but they are likely to be full during the day.

It is located at the top of the escalator leading from the central ticket gate to the Sobu Line platform.
It appears that there are even larger lockers than those on the first floor.
This is the place to store guitar cases, oversized suitcases, backpacks, etc.

Exit the Electric Town ticket gate, go straight to the left, and when you go outside, you will find New Days.
If you turn left just before that, you will find coin lockers on your right.
It's a surprisingly hidden gem because it's hard to find.

There are two machines located facing each other after you exit the ticket gate and turn right towards the outdoors.
The area around the station is relatively empty.

It is located on the right after exiting the central ticket gate, behind the escalator that leads to the second floor of Akihabara Tolim.
Only cash is accepted, so you'll need to bring coins.

Coin lockers at Tokyo Metro Akihabara Station
There are also several coin lockers at Tokyo Metro Akihabara Station.
All of the shops are located outside the station, so they are also recommended for those who do not use the train.
Coin lockers in the passageway before the ticket gates - More available than JR



There are three machines lined up along the corridor connecting the Hibiya Line's JR Akihabara-bound ticket gate and Iwamotocho-bound ticket gate.
No matter which ticket gate you exit from, just go straight and you should be able to find it.
It's a hidden gem as it's more likely to be empty than JR lockers.

Hibiya Line Exit 3 coin lockers - a hidden spot in front of the station

It is located after exiting Hibiya Line Exit 3 and making a U-turn to the right.
Although it is in front of the station, it was empty so it might be a place that is easy to overlook.

Coin lockers at Tsukuba Express Akihabara Station
This is undoubtedly the best-kept secret in the Akihabara Station area.
Since you have to go deep underground, you may have to walk a long way depending on the exit, but this means there is a high chance that it will be empty.

It is located on the right hand side after exiting the ticket gate, opposite the commuter pass counter.
If you are coming from the ground, we recommend taking the elevator instead of the escalator.
This should reduce the distance and time it takes to descend underground.

Azukariya Akihabara - Luggage storage in New Akihabara Center Building
A cloakroom service located in the New Akihabara Center Building, about a 2-minute walk from Akihabara Station.
You can store up to two pieces of luggage for 1000 yen per day (1000 yen per piece after the third piece).
If you have a suitcase that won't fit in a coin locker, consider using this facility.
Business hours: 9:00-19:00 Closed on Thursdays (open on public holidays)
Fee: 1000 yen per day for up to 2 items, then 1000 yen for each additional item

Coin lockers can be used for approximately 3 days.
This does not apply to all coin lockers, but the usage period is generally three days.
In most cases, packages are stored for 30 days, after which they may be discarded.
Also, be aware that if you lose your locker key, you will have to pay for a replacement and it will take longer to retrieve your belongings.
