[July 2019] Akihabara Store Closures and Renovations

Last time, we summarized store closures for the first half of 2019, but this time we'll look into stores that closed in July.

Of course, in addition to closed stores, we have also included stores that have been renovated.

Store closures, renovations, and name changes: 5 stores

Yum Yum Monkey (Closed)

Closing date: November 2019
Opening date: Thursday, January 28, 2016

An ice cream shop located on the first floor of Don Quijote Akihabara where you can choose from about 14 different flavors.
Currently, the building houses a matcha sweets specialty store called "MATCHA365."

e☆Earphone Akihabara Store [Reopening]

Temporary closure: July 23, 2019, 7:18 PM
Reopening period: Varies by store in the Akihabara area.

Each e-Earphone store in the Akihabara area has different dates for temporary closures and reopenings.

CRAFT BEER 03 [Closed]

Closing date: Saturday, July 27, 2019
Opening date: Wednesday, March 8, 2018

A stand bar where you can enjoy craft beer located under the elevated tracks of Akihabara Station.
In addition to beer, they also served wine and whiskey.
Craft Shake Potatoes, a selection of French fries with a wide variety of flavors including "Mentaiko Butter" and "Nori Salt," was highly recommended as a snack that pairs well with beer.

Ayam Soup Chaya [Store name changed]

Temporarily closed: July 31, 2019
Reopening date: August 8, 2019

It just opened...
The store is scheduled to reopen under a new name.

Matsuya Akihabara Store [Reopening]

Temporary closure: July 31, 2019, 7:15 PM
Reopening date: Scheduled for early September 2019

The Akihabara store located along Showa-dori will be temporarily closed due to store renovation work.
The nearby Asakusabashi and Kanda Sudacho stores remain open.
