[April 2020] Summary of Akihabara store closures [Closings/Relocations]
We have entered February of the second year of Reiwa.
Last month was a month of important events for young people, such as the National Center Test for University Admissions and Coming of Age Ceremony.

Akihabara store closures and relocations in June 2020 (in chronological order)

Akiba Soba and Udon
Opening date: July 2010
Closing date: January 2020
A soba restaurant on Showa Street.
The shutters have been down since mid-December, and a sign announcing the store's closure was posted in January.
Apparently the shop is closed due to the owner's death.
Thank you for the delicious soba noodles.

One Kara Akihabara store

Opening date: June 22, 2012
Closing date: July 5, 2020
A karaoke store specializing in solo karaoke, commonly known as "hitokara."
There seemed to be quite a lot of people inside the store, but it was closed.
At a nearby store"Kanda"と"Ueno"It seems there is a store there.
Square Enix Cafe Tokyo
Opening date: October 1, 2016
Closing date: March 17, 2020
Pre-opening after relocation: February 1, 2020
It seems they will be relocating to the east-west free passage at Akihabara Station.
After the relocation, the collaboration "Final Fantasy VII Remake" will be heldStarting Saturday, February 8th.

A specialty store selling accessories for smartphones.
They also offered a service called "PreCase" that allowed you to print your own images onto smartphone cases.

Closing date: July 23, 2020
A long-established yakitori restaurant located near the Laox Akihabara main store.
The opening date is unknown, but according to information from someone who has worked in Akihabara for many years,It was in business for about 60 to 70 years.That.
The paper attached to the shutter only said, "Due to circumstances, we will be closing," and the exact reason for the closure was unknown.
TiCTAC Akihabara Atre store
Closing date: July 24, 2020
A shop selling watches from a variety of brands.
They also sold watches in collaboration with the anime.
Jelly Beans Atre Akihabara Store
Closing date: July 26, 2020
A store that sold women's shoes such as boots and pumps.
FORTRESS Akihabara store

Opening date: June 30, 2016
Closing date: July 31, 2020
A shop that sells air guns, custom guns, and survival game supplies.
They also handle second-hand items and offer gun customization, maintenance, and tuning services.

Soup curry restaurant.
The store changed its name shortly after opening last year.
It seems that it was originally a temporary store and will be relocating to Setagaya Ward.
McDonald's Akihabara Showa-dori Store

Opening date: 1998
Closing date: July 31, 2020
McDonald's along Akihabara Showa Street.
It felt like they were competing with Burger King, which is on the same street.
Given the location of the store, it would be strange not to notice it if it's the same hamburger chain.
This time, the store was closed due to the deterioration of the building.
