[August 2020] Akihabara store closings

It's September!!
Obon is over, and the temperature is gradually dropping as we head towards autumn.
Tokyo is still as hot as ever!!

Well, I've put together a list of store closures from last month, August.

Akihabara store closures in May 2020 (in chronological order)

Tsukemen Specialty Momonosuke Akihabara Main Branch

Opening date: Monday, April 13, 2019
Closing date: Monday, May 17, 2020

A tsukemen specialty restaurant that has relocated from Shinjuku Gyoenmae Station.
We offer four dipping sauces: "Rich Seafood and Pork Bone Dipping Sauce," "Shrimp and Squid Ink Dipping Sauce," "Japanese-Style Tomato Dipping Sauce," and "Curry Dipping Sauce."
This is a restaurant where you can enjoy unique dipping sauces that you won't find at other restaurants.

I went to the new branch of Akihabara's Tsukemen specialty restaurant, Momonosuke, which opened in May.

Gacha Gift Atre Akihabara Store

Opening date: Monday, April 10, 2020
Closing date: Thursday, June 27, 2020

Gachagacha corner on the 2nd floor of Atre.
It closed after about six months.

Tsukumo Akihabara Station Store

Opening date: Wednesday, November 8, 2020
Closing date: Sunday, June 30, 2020

In January of this year, with the renewal of LABI Akihabara PC Hall,"Tsukumo Akihabara Station Store"Is open.
However, it closed just eight months after opening.
The reason for the closure is said to be "due to changes in Yamada Denki's structure."

Sega Akihabara Building 2

Opening date: October 2003 (including before the name change)
Closing date: Sunday, June 30, 2020

Begin,"Akihabara GiGO"It opened in October 2003.
Then, in 2017,"Sega Akihabara Building 2"was renamed to.
The store was closed due to the state of emergency declaration, but it resumed business on June 12th, but it was only a short time later.
It closed at the end of August.

Tonkotsu Ramen Shofukujin

Opening date: Thursday, March 26, 2020
Closing date: Monday, May 31, 2020

A pork bone specialty shop that serves five types of pork bone ramen.
It had just opened in March but unfortunately closed down.
One dish he particularly recommended was the "Italian Tonkotsu Ramen," which is made with a pork bone broth base and basil oil added.

Guesthouse-style hotel Grids Akihabara

Opening date: May 21, 2015 (Tuesday)
Closing date: Monday, May 31, 2020

To cater to a variety of foreign tourists, we offer a variety of rooms, including small bed spaces called "PODs," "dormitories" that can accommodate groups, and "family rooms" that are designed with privacy in mind.
Located near "Grids Akihabara""Grids Tokyo Asakusabashi"continues to operate.

Summary

The Sega store (Building 2), which had been a fixture in Akihabara for 17 years, has finally closed.
I wonder if the other Sega stores in Akihabara are okay... (-_-;).
