[August 2022] Akihabara store closings

The rainy season ended in July, and the temperature continued to rise.
The summer vacation season begins at the end of the month, and many people who appear to be sightseeing in Akihabara can be seen. Here we introduce the stores that have closed this month.

Japan Kitchen AKIBA

Opening date: June 7, 2019
Closing date: July 14, 2022

A restaurant located inside JR East Hotel Mets Akihabara, in front of the Electric Town exit of JR Akihabara Station.
The floor was lined with four different types of stores, with exteriors and interiors designed to appeal to inbound tourists.

Tosho Drug Akihabara Store

Opening date: July 2019
Closing date: July 15, 2022

A drugstore along Shoheibashi Street.
The store was located in a location with few stores nearby.

[Closed] Takano, a ginger soy sauce ramen specialty store

Opening date: June 13, 2022
Closing date: July 20, 2022

A soy sauce ramen specialty store that just opened in March ecute in July.
About a week after opening, the store was forced to close for an extended period due to a gas cylinder explosion.

New ramen shop closes after just one week

This month, the newly opened Takano Ginger Soy Sauce Ramen Specialty Restaurant closed after just one week.
The cause of the incident was a gas cylinder explosion, making it a very impactful incident.
In addition, the restaurant "Japan Kitchen AKIBA" in front of Akihabara Station closed, and the closure of "Becker's x PRONTO" in the same building was also fresh in our minds.
