[August 2022] Akihabara store closings
Nationwide travel support began in October.

Maid Cafe Pinafore Labyrinth Branch
Opening date: 2003
Closing date: Monday, May 10, 2022
The Labyrinth branch of Pinafore, a maid cafe that has been in business for 19 years, has closed.
The company previously had three stores and also had a branch in Bangkok, but all of them have now closed.
To be precise, the store is closed indefinitely, but there is currently no information on when it will reopen.
AKIHABARA backstage pass
Opening date: Friday, June 23, 2011
Closing date: Monday, May 10, 2022
Idol training entertainment cafe "Backstage" closes.
The reason appears to be business closures.
It appears that she will continue to be active with the idol group she belonged to, "Backstage Sotokanda 1-chome."
Mensho Naohisa Akihabara UDX Branch

Closing date: Tuesday, May 18, 2022
Naokyu, which had a store in the ramen-only food court inside UDX, has closed.
A duck meat Chinese noodle restaurant called Manchiken has opened on the site.
Mitsubishi UFJ Bank Akihabara Branch

Closing date: Friday, June 21, 2022
UFJ Bank's Akihabara branch will close to merge with the Kanda Ekimae branch.
On November 7th, the Akihabara Station Branch located at the Showa-dori exit will also be merged.
It appears that the ATM corner will continue to be available.
The cafe that produced Backstage Sotokanda 1-chome, Erabareshi, and PrettyAsh has closed
AKIHABARA Backstage Pass, produced by Tsunku♂ and Shikura Chiyomaru and which has nurtured many idols, is closing after 10 years and 10 months of operation.
Additionally, Pinafore, which was famous as the filming location for the TV drama Train Man, closed its doors after 19 years, making October a month in which many well-known stores closed down.
Akihabara is dotted with many stores employing idols and maids, but I wonder if this incident will have any impact.
