[August 2023] Akihabara store closings

Although Golden Week is over, Akihabara is getting excited as summer approaches, but we would like to introduce some of the stores that have closed this month.

Manga Online Store

Opening date: 2010
Closing date: Monday, May 8, 2023

An internet cafe located in the Karaokekan building along Minami-dori Street in front of Akihabara Station.
It's inexpensive, conveniently located near the station, and many people have likely used it.

Cat hideout

Opening date: Saturday, November 13, 2019
Closing date: Sunday, June 14, 2023

A maid cafe located along Kuramaebashi-dori.
The concept, interior, uniforms, etc. of this store were produced by female cosplayer Kuroneko.

Kofuru Rujue

Opening date: Saturday, November 24, 2020
Closing date: Sunday, June 14, 2023

A maid cafe located on the 3rd floor of Kami Tower Building, just before Tokyo Leisure Land.
A toy-themed store.

Stella Charm

Opening date: Thursday, March 7, 2022
Closing date: Sunday, June 28, 2023

A maid cafe located along Shoheibashi Street.
The pastel-colored interior was themed around stars and magic.

Dream

Opening date: Thursday, March 9, 2010
Closing date: Wednesday, May 31, 2023

A long-established maid cafe located in the Akibao 7th store building along Chuo-dori.

Manga Netkan closes

With the closure of Manga Netkan, there are now almost no large internet cafes in Akihabara, and it seems that Kaikatsu Club is now the only one that is dominant.
