[State of Emergency] Akihabara stores closed during Golden Week

The third state of emergency was declared on April 25, 2021.
In Akihabara, many stores have closed following the declaration, so we would like to introduce the situation.
If you are planning to go out during Golden Week, please make sure that the stores you are planning to visit are open.

Here's what happened during the last state of emergency:

Akihabara stores closed during Golden Week due to state of emergency

Akihabara Atre - Restaurants closed

Most stores in Akihabara Atre 1, the station building at the Electric Town exit of JR Akihabara Station, are closed, with a few exceptions.

All the restaurants on the first floor are closed.

Only Sanseido Bookstore is open on the second floor.
On the third floor, Seijo Ishii, Kokumin, Starbucks and other stores are open.

The Shinymas collaboration, which has been running since April 16, 2021, is also currently on hiatus.
Please note that you will not receive an original card even if you spend more than 500 yen at a store that is open.

In addition, the entire Akihabara Atre 2 on the Showa-dori side is closed.

Akiba Trim - Only Lawson and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation ATMs are open

Most of the Akihabara Tolim station building at TX Akihabara Station is also closed.
Many people will find this inconvenient as it houses Uniqlo and Muji.

The Lawson store and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation ATM on the first floor will remain open.

The nearby bakery, Sakimoto, was also closed.

AKIBA Cultures Zone - All facilities closed

The entire "AKIBA Cultures Zone" is closed.

The timing of Shinymas hitting live shows, collaborations with Atre, and collaboration cafes was terrible...

Akihabara UDX - Restaurants on the second and third floors are noticeably closed

Restaurants within UDX were also noticeably closed.
The stores that were open were empty, so lunchtime might be a good time to go.

BiTO AKIBA - Most stores are closed or have reduced hours

Many of the tenants at "BiTO AKIBA" are restaurants, so most of the stores are closed or have reduced business hours.

Nearby, many stores at BiTO AKIBA PLAZA are also closed or operating on reduced hours.

Tokyo Radio Department Store - Closed buildings are conspicuous

Many stores in Tokyo Radio Department Store were closed, making the usually dimly lit building even more desolate.
When using the service, be sure to check the opening hours of the store you are visiting before visiting.

Seek Base Akioka Manufacture - Smoking area closed

"Seek Base Akioka Manufacture" includes Recofan, Mandarake, TOKYO VIDEO GAMERS, buychari AKIBA, UNDER RAILWAY HOTEL, and AKIHABARA TAIKO-LAB, but all other stores are closed.

Please note that smoking areas are also not available.

Akihabara Radio Kaikan - Ginza Lion is closed

Ginza Lion, located on the first basement floor of Radio Kaikan, right in front of the Electric Town entrance, will be closed from April 25th to May 11th.

Hey - arcades are closed too

Akihabara's representative game center, "HEY," is also closed.

Even when I went around to the back, it was still closed.
It's a shame, as location testing for Senba Aleste was scheduled for Golden Week.

Melon Books in the back is open.

Akihabara Dear Stage - Closed until May 11th

Dear Stage on Junk Street is also closed.
It will be closed from April 25th to May 11th during the state of emergency.

AniON STATION - Closed for the time being

Anikura Cafe AniON will be closed from April 26th.
The duration is currently unknown, as it is stated to be "for the time being."

Many stores in Akihabara are closed during Golden Week

We have introduced the major closed stores in Akihabara, but in many cases the entire building itself has closed.
I was particularly surprised to see that the entire Akihabara Cultures Zone, which has fewer restaurants than the other buildings, was closed.
It will also be difficult to bear the closure of amusement and entertainment related venues such as HEY, DearStage, and AniOn at this time.
I would definitely like to visit once it reopens.
