If you want to make plastic models or garage kits in Akihabara, head to Akihabara Workshop (Club Room)!
Even if you look at plastic models and garage kits in Akihabara, you might think that they are a bit too much for someone with no experience in building things.
For those people, I would recommend Akihabara Workshop.
This is a super hot spot where you can go empty-handed as they lend you tools, you can paint, it's close to the station, and it's super cheap.
Of course, this is also a must-see for professional modelers who pile up plastic models and kits at home!
Introducing the Akihabara Workshop, where an insider states, "Akihabara Workshop is not a rental model making space! It's simply a club room."

- It may be hard to find, but Akihabara Workshop has a secret base feel to it.
- Akihabara Workshop is fully equipped with production tools, painting tools, and booths, so you can come empty-handed
- Akihabara Workshop is worried about customers because its prices are too low

It may be hard to find, but Akihabara Workshop has a secret base feel to it.

The location is on the second floor of the New Akihabara Center, about 100m from the Electric Town exit of JR Akihabara Station.

Enter the building, go to the very back, turn right and you'll find an elevator and stairs, so go to the second floor!
*Please note that although there is a small sign next to the entrance, it is not very noticeable!

Once you go up the stairs to the second floor, you'll soon arrive at Akihabara Workshop!
When you arrive at the store, talk to a staff member and tell them what you want to do, and they will guide you to your seat!
Even if it looks like it's full of customers, please rest assured.
There are other work rooms besides the second floor, so the capacity is quite large.
Akihabara Workshop is fully equipped with production tools, painting tools, and booths, so you can come empty-handed

It's safe to say that all the tools you'll need to make plastic models and garage kits are available.

Nippers, files, design knives, spray guns, paints, etc.
If you can't find something, ask the store staff or the seniors in the club room!

There are so many types of paints that it's hard to choose...

The paint booth looks like this.
Perhaps because they have installed an excellent product called the Nero Booth, there is no smell of paint at all.
It may not be suitable for people who want to work while inhaling solvents.
Akihabara Workshop is worried about customers because its prices are too low
I'm sure I'm not the only one who had to take a double take when I first saw the price.
Hey, that's cheap. Is this really okay? The prices make you worry about the store's financial situation.
500 yen per hour on weekdays. You might think that's about right, but there are probably very few people who only come in for an hour.
Many will likely use the 4-hour plan or longer.
That's just 250 yen per hour! That's too cheap!
