Now that April has arrived, the cherry blossoms in Akihabara have bloomed beautifully, so I'd like to share some of their beauty with you.

Cherry Blossoms in Akihabara Kanda Myojin Shrine

When I went there on April 2nd, the cherry blossoms in the grounds of Kanda Myojin Shrine were in bloom.
Taking a photo with the Suishinmon Gate looks great.

The weather was fine that day, and despite it being a weekday, many people came to enjoy the cherry blossoms in bloom in the temple grounds.
Akihabara Cherry Blossoms Miyamoto Park

Miyamoto Park, located behind Kanda Myojin Shrine, is a spot with several cherry trees, but it seems surprisingly little known.

On this day, local people were probably enjoying cherry blossom viewing.
Akihabara's Cherry Blossoms at Horin Park

The cherry blossoms at the entrance to Horin Park, the most popular park in Akihabara, were also in bloom.

These cherry blossoms can be seen without entering the park, and many people passing by on the street were seen taking photos.
Also, the cherry blossoms in front of Shohei Kindergarten, just down the street, have begun to bloom.
Akihabara Cherry Blossoms Tsumakoizaka

Cherry blossoms near the Tsumakoizaka intersection.
This one starts blooming a little earlier every year.

The cherry blossoms at the rotary in front of the central entrance were already beginning to fall.

The cherry blossoms in front of the Fuji Soft Building are also in bloom.
Cherry Blossoms in Akihabara Akihabara Neribei Park

Akihabara Neribei Park is located at 4-1 Akihabara, Taito-ku, and is the only park located in the real Akihabara area.
There were several cherry trees here that were in bloom.

Many people came to take a walk or take a break, enjoying the warm weather and the cherry blossoms in bloom.
Akihabara Cherry Blossoms in front of Yanagimori Shrine

The cherry blossoms in front of Yanagimori Shrine, just across the Kanda Fureai Bridge from the central exit of Akihabara Station.

It comes with a plate with information about the cherry blossoms.

Cherry blossoms on the way from Akihabara Station's Showa-dori exit to Izumibashi Bridge.
You can see it while waiting for the traffic light at the crosswalk.

The cherry blossoms at Izumibashi Southeast Children's Playground were in full bloom.

The cherry blossoms here are very colorful.
Sakura in Akihabara, Sakuma Park

Cherry blossoms were also in bloom at Sakuma Park, where there is a stone monument marking the birthplace of radio calisthenics.

Akihabara Cherry Blossoms Izumi Park

Izumi Park is one of the local cherry blossom viewing spots.
On this day too, there were people laying out sheets and enjoying cherry blossom viewing.

This is a park that can be seen on the way from Asakusabashi to Akihabara (or vice versa).
Akihabara becomes vibrant as April begins
The cherry blossoms in Tokyo in 2024 were originally expected to bloom around March 23rd, but due to low temperatures every day, the blooming date was pushed back, and in Akihabara the cherry blossoms bloomed from the end of March to April.
The peak viewing period will likely be during the weekdays and will likely end before the weekend, but we hope this information will be useful for your strolls.
