Bushiroad Shareholders Meeting 2022 Eye-Catcher
mother

I attended Bushiroad's general shareholders' meeting, which will be conducting a stock split again this year, following last year's.
I will report on the situation.
Regarding the content, I am sorry if it is incorrect as it is based on notes I took on the spot.

I went to Bushiroad Inc.'s 16th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders

Held at Ueno Airship Theater

Airship Theater
This year's shareholders' meeting will be held at the Airship Theater in Ueno, which is close to Akihabara.
This is the hall that Bushiroad acquired from Ueno Gakuen last year.
A style that will be put to use immediately.

There were no exhibits inside the venue, and commercials for the company's content and products were shown on the screens until the event started.

Bushiroad Co., Ltd. 16th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders Q&A

The meeting only contained the bare minimum of business reports and financial statements, and the meeting notice stated that for more details, please see the meeting notice.
This is to allow more time for questions.
This is a consideration for otaku who attend shareholder meetings!!

Furthermore, questions were not asked in the conventional way, where people who raised their hands were called upon, but rather in a numbered ticket system, where number tags were distributed in advance to people who planned to ask questions, and questions were asked in the order of their numbers.

Now, let's move on to some questions and answers about the content and products.

Q. About the Starlight stage.
There used to be male-only and female-only performances, but now there are only female-only performances.
I want to know why.
There have been performances on special occasions, such as cast members' birthdays, that have been limited to women, so I hope they will take this into consideration.

A. To be honest, I thought it would be very popular with women, so I really wanted to create a performance that was only for women.
However, we thought there might be backlash if we only did a women-only performance, so we did both, but the men-only performance had the worst attendance of all the performances.
On the other hand, the women-only performance was so popular that we decided to make it a women-only performance, which was a shame for the men.
We will take into consideration anniversaries and other special occasions.

Q. About School Idol Festival 2.
The teaser site released the day before yesterday lists Bushiroad as the developer, but who will be developing the game?
Please let me know to the extent that you can, if it's still Klab like before.

A. The publisher is Bushiroad, and the developer is a different company, not Klab, but that will be announced at a later date.
We have been involved with Love Live since before it was made into an anime, and although it is another company's IP, we treat it as if it were our own IP.
School Idol Festival 2 is set to be a fantastic game that will include all the Love Live songs.
I want to make this a huge success so please support me.

Q. About the Airship Theater.
I would like to know if this theater, which is also the venue for this event, was purchased or if they have the naming rights.
I would also like to know why they decided to call it the Airship Theater instead of naming it after their company.

A. We bought this hall.
The sound is good, the seats are gently sloping and the stage is easily visible, so it can be used in a variety of ways.
Currently, the most popular performances are by the Hikousen Theater Company.
The reason why they didn't call it Bushiroad Theater was because the name "Bushiroad" has a strong character and might give the impression that it would be difficult to use when renting it out to outside parties.
We are receiving many inquiries and are beginning to turn a profit.

Q. About professional wrestling.
I'd like to know about the overseas expansion of New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Stardom.

A.Even within the scope that has already been made public, matches involving several thousand people are planned in the UK and the US.
We would like to focus on scale and mobilization rather than numbers.
Regarding Stardom, we would like to first introduce it to overseas New Japan fans, and then eventually pave the way for it to operate independently.

Q. About Assault Lily.
Since 2020, anime, games, and other developments have been centered around Bushiroad, but in June of this year, Bushiroad was removed from game management.
Will there be any future events or media developments such as those for Ichiyanagi-tai that have emerged from these developments?
I would also like to know why it was removed from the game's development.

A. Bushiroad believed that I would be good at content featuring girls, so I joined Assault Lily.
The project started with a stage production to raise the interest of fans, and then developed an anime game.
Sales were good at first, but gradually declined, and I felt that some restructuring was necessary to maintain the game, so I stepped down.
I drew it purely for the sake of the piece.
Ichiyanagi-tai will also be participating in Bushiroad's 15th Anniversary Festival, and we would like to continue supporting them as much as possible in the future.

Q. About Argonavis.
Are there any staff members who are knowledgeable about developing characters for women?

A. Regarding the Argonavis staff, the team consists of six people, four of whom are women.
The details are being worked out with the women's will.
When it comes to content geared towards women, the illustrations are very important, and I thought that maybe they weren't very modern, so I've been improving them to make them more modern.
When it comes to product-related services, we create them primarily based on women's ideas.

Q. About the live concert application ticket.
Sometimes the CD comes with a lottery ticket for a live concert, without the location, date, or performers being revealed.
This is inconvenient for buyers, so I hope they improve it.
Also, the range of premium seats is expanding every year, which makes them feel a bit overpriced.

A. Currently, the cycle between live performance announcements and CD releases is not in sync, but we would like to improve this as much as possible.
I believe that products that are clear in content will definitely sell better.
We would also like to hold further discussions regarding premium seats to ensure that their value is maintained.

Q. About your relationship with broccoli.
I feel like Broccoli is more geared towards women.
Will there be any plans to strengthen capital ties?

A. I think I have a good relationship with Broccoli.
We would like to make the new card game more popular by having Uta☆Pri participate as one of its initial titles and by having Di Gi Charat, but we can't do everything together.
I feel that they definitely have the know-how to create content for women.
I think it would be better to respect the wishes of those who are working hard now.

Q. About BanG Dream radio.
There were multiple radio programs, but they have now been consolidated into one.
It seems like there are fewer opportunities to promote the appeal of the cast, but are there any measures being taken?

A. Our aim is to improve the quality of each of the various pieces of content we offer, so we decided to focus on one radio channel.
In addition, talk events and other events are held as a way to communicate between the real band and fans.

However, although it's not confirmed, they may change the concept and increase the number of radio programs.

Introducing souvenirs from Bushiroad's 16th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders

I received a souvenir when I left the shareholders' meeting, so I'd like to share what it contained.

Magnets and chopsticks
The merchandise includes a New Japan magnet sheet and Roselia chopsticks.
You can stick it on the refrigerator, eat it, or use it around the kitchen.

Flyers
Flyers.
There were a lot of different things inside.
There are also large advertisements for Uma Musume cards in Akihabara.

I would be happy to receive souvenirs, so I hope they continue this every year.

A general meeting where you can feel the enthusiasm of otaku for each content

There were many questions about the development of each content, and the enthusiasm of each otaku was palpable at the meeting.
What's also impressive is how politely they responded to the questions.
This is an event that can be enjoyed like a fan meeting (though it's not an actual event), so if you have a favorite related work, it might be worth participating.
