C102 2023 Summer Comiket Participation Report

Akihabara BC

It's summer! It's the beach! It's Comiket!
So I participated in C102.
It seems that entry restrictions have been significantly relaxed this time, but general attendees will need a ticket or a wristband-type participation certificate to enter, so will future Comiket events continue with this policy?

Comic Market 102

C102 Venue

We arrived near Tokyo Big Sight around 9:00.
Waiting lines to enter the West and South Buildings.
I am in awe of the Comiket warriors who have to endure the heat to get their hands on the loot they desire.

C102 Corporate booth

Good Smile Company will be exhibiting figures.

It's a Blue Archive Nendoroid.

The Quintessential Quintuplets figure.

Figures of Kaoru Hanayama and Doppo Orochi.
It's quite impressive.

At the Denon Club booth, the otakus were having a great time listening to Rimuru's DJ performance.

At Marui Group Co., Ltd.'s booth, which collaborated with "Dropkick on Jashin-chan," a fresh idea was the cash register, which allowed you to interact with Jashin-chan Lloyd.

At this Comiket, there will also be a rest area booth by pixiv.

It was a popular spot for many Comiket warriors to relax and unwind.

C102 Comiket was hot! Don't forget to take precautions against heatstroke

This year's Comiket was more lively than the previous C101, and it felt as if the atmosphere had returned to what it was before the coronavirus pandemic.

At one point, there were fears of a typhoon at this year's Comiket, but when the event opened, the weather was sunny and clear.
It was good that it wasn't raining, but the direct sunlight and temperatures were so intense that we witnessed several people collapsing from heatstroke.
There will be many people who are visiting Comiket for the first time or after a long time, but please be sure to take precautions against heat. (Of course, even if you attend every time)
It would be pointless if you came all the way here and it turned into a painful memory!!

By the way, it seems that the wristbands have been made of a strong, tear-resistant material, but were all the people who attended Comiket able to remove their wristbands like Kenshiro did when he ripped off the Snake Bite Belt of Taishan Yōken?
