Comic Market 99 General Participation Report: Wristband Exchange and the Venue

Comiket was held for the first time in two years since December 2019!
However, this year's Comiket has undergone many changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
So this time I would like to report on the general participation.

I participated in C99 Comic Market 99 as a general participant!

C99 From receiving your wristband to entering

When you arrive at the venue, you first need to get an admission wristband, but unlike previous Comiket events, wristbands will not be sold on the day.
Only those who win tickets in the advance lottery will be able to receive a wristband.

I have a general admission ticket for the Southwest Hall, so I head to the exchange area there.

I arrived just after 9am, but the exchange area was empty.

The procedure for exchanging the wristband is as follows:

First, present your ticket at the gate.
↓
There is a desk for preparation, so prepare the necessary documents.
↓
At the exchange gate, have your temperature taken, present your ticket and necessary documents, and receive your wristband.

That was the flow.
This is very smooth and there is almost no waiting time.

All you have to do is wait in line to enter.

C99 Comiket venue

We lined up in the waiting line and headed to Big Sight just like usual, butThere are clearly not many people!

By the way, in previous Comiket events, the corporate booths were located in the Aomi Exhibition Hall, but with the Olympics and other events coming to an end and the Aomi Exhibition Hall being closed, they have returned to the main building of Big Sight.
I believe this was the first time that corporate booths were set up in the South Hall.

It doesn't feel like Comiket at all.

At Minami Corporate Hall, it seemed that "HoloLive" and "Champion" were popular.

C99 Circle Area

Even though it was the afternoon, there were fewer people than I'd ever seen at any other Comiket.
