[August 2023] Akihabara store closings

Here are some stores that closed in June, when the rainy season brought many bad days.

Closed: 5 stores

Taiwan Yan Suzie

Opening date: Mid-May 2023
Closing date: Early June 2023

A Taiwanese-style fried chicken restaurant located near Manseibashi intersection.
It opened in mid-May this year on the site of the former Kurikoan Akihabara store, but appears to have closed just under a month later.

Kanda Shrine merchandise store

Closing date: Sunday, June 11, 2023

A store located within the grounds of Kanda Myojin Shrine that sold merchandise, mainly collaboration products with anime and other things.
With the store closing, the online store will also be closed.

Cafe Renoir Akihabara Showa Street Entrance

Closing date: Friday, June 16, 2023

A coffee shop located near the Showa-dori exit ticket gate.
The store is closed due to renovations.
It will reopen on June 27th as "Cafe Renoir Akihabara Showa-dori Entrance Store."

ANIPLEX+ Akihabara Antenna Shop

Opening date: Wednesday, November 15, 2018
Closing date: Sunday, June 18, 2023
The ANIPLEX store was located on the first floor of Akihabara Radio Kaikan.
There was merchandise for sale and sample figurines on display.

Okame Akihabara Standing Bar

Closing date: End of June 2023

An izakaya located under the Sobu Line overpass.
The bar was famous for its rock music master and was popular with many fans of Western music for about 30 years.

Kanda Myojin Shrine merchandise store closes

A merchandise store at Kanda Myojin Shrine that sold merchandise in collaboration with various anime has closed.
Although the Renoir Showa Doriguchi store was said to be closing, it was renovated and reopened within the same month.
