[April 2024] Summary of Akihabara store closures [Closings/Relocations]

This March has been colder than average, and spring is still a long way off.
We have been able to identify the stores that closed before the full arrival of spring, so let's introduce them one by one.

Akihabara stores closing or relocating in February 2024 (in chronological order)

Store closures and relocations: 7 stores

Yellow Submarine Magickers Hyper Arena

Opening date: 2011
Closing date: Sunday, June 10, 2024

Yessub in the Super Building.
They sold card games and gaming supplies.
Closed due to building demolition.

Liberty 6th store

Closing date: Mid-December 2024

Liberty was in the Super Building.
It sold second-hand goods and idol photos.

Luna Amour [Relocation]

Opening date: Monday, April 18, 2023
Closing date: Tuesday, May 18, 2024

A maid cafe that opened in Kami Tower at the end of 2023.
Store moved to Shibuya.

Chano-ma Akihabara

Opening date: Friday, June 1, 2021
Closing date: Monday, May 25, 2024

A cafe located in BiTO AKIBA PLAZA in front of Akihabara Station.
In 2021, "Ko-kappo Ohashi Akihabara Living" was renovated and became this location.
A notable feature of this hotel is the abundance of raised floors and private rooms.

Super Building Multi-level Coin Parking

Closing date: Wednesday, May 27, 2024

Opposite Bellesalle Akihabara, in the supermarket building's multi-story parking lot.
Closed due to building demolition.

The wolf

Opening date: 1991
Closing date: Sunday, June 31, 2024

The Western restaurant, Mansei Noodle Shop, and Lawson convenience store in the Mansei Building, which opened in 1991, have closed, leaving the Mansei Building with no stores open.
The yakiniku floor is now located in the Tomorrow Building as Yakiniku Mansei, and the Western restaurant has relocated to the Akihabara Place Building.

Ojisan Seimenjo Akihabara Station Branch

Opening date: Wednesday, November 28, 2010
Closing date: Sunday, June 31, 2024

A self-service udon chain located in the food court "Tokyo Food Bar" inside Akihabara Station.
They served Sanuki udon.

Meat Mansei closes

The announcement of the closure of Nikuno Mansei, a landmark in Akihabara, came as a huge shock to the Akihabara area, and many people visited the restaurant until the day it closed to bid farewell.
