I visited this place as part of the Akihabara Base Camp project "Ojisanpo." A cosplay shop in Akihabara has closed.
It seems like a new project is about to start, so I'll wait with anticipation.

Snow Dant Trading Card Akihabara 2nd Store

Snowdance Trading Card Akihabara 2nd store will be closing on February 28th due to the expiration of the building contract.
Due to the store closure, PSA proxy service will also be temporarily suspended from January 31st.

The second physical store of "Snidan," Japan's No. 1 sneaker and trading card flea market app, has closed due to the expiration of the building contract. The Snidan Trading Card Akihabara store will remain open.

In Akihabara, the world-famous Maidreamin Idol Street store will be closing for renovations.
While this may seem like sad news, it is exciting news as it marks the grand opening of a new store.

Ginger Pork Kotori

Opening date: October 8, 2021
Closing date: March 28, 2025

The restaurant is temporarily closed due to relocation. The restaurant features a traditional Japanese home-style exterior and specializes in "ginger pork," which uses "two to three times the usual amount of garlic and ginger." It also became a hot topic due to a warning message urging those who "can't stand to get too energetic" to refrain from eating there. The restaurant claims to have "provided a total of nearly 60,000 meals" in its three and a half years of operation.

This store specializes in the Pokémon card game. It frequently holds Pokémon card giveaways and tournaments every Friday, making it a popular gathering spot for card game fans. On February 10th, X announced that it would be closing in two days, and the sudden closure occurred.
The second store on Junk Street remains open.

I myself have noticed a recent trend of famous restaurant chains entering Akihabara (there used to be no restaurants at all), and while I'm happy that it has become more convenient, I also feel sad whenever I hear news of a long-established store in Akihabara closing.
