Mania Festa vol.4 - A festival where the finest maniacs gather

Mania Festa is a festival where enthusiasts, researchers, and specialty shops who are passionate about a wide range of genres express themselves in various ways, such as through goods, books, and events. This is the 4th event, so perhaps it will be the 4th time? This is my first time participating in Mania Festa, so I'm excited to see what kind of eclectic enthusiasts will be gathering.
I attended the first day of the festival on February 8th, so I'd like to share with you what the venue was like and the exhibits that caught my eye!

The first day of the festival started at 12 noon. Perhaps because the temperature in Tokyo had dropped below freezing the previous day, the day was sunny and the temperature felt warm.

If you go up to the second floor of the building, you will find the reception desk where you can purchase same-day tickets.

Just before the event started at 12:00, a line had already formed of people who had tickets and those who wanted to buy tickets on the day.

Okay! I got my ticket! With this, I can enter the deep world of maniacs...

Inside the venue117 pairsOver the two days, enthusiasts of the genre held a variety of exhibits and sold extremely unique original goods, all of which could only be found here.

Expo Enthusiast

A fifth-year Expo enthusiast exhibited wearing a handmade Expo costume.

They sell doujinshi that contain research on the Expo, and although not for sale, the materials and Expo collector's goods collected by exhibitors convey a strong sense of their passion for the Expo.

To the Osaka Kansai Expo1891 days left!

Clumsy Sign Maniac

A clumsy child is one who doesn't know how to handle danger, and who appears on road safety signs, slipping, drowning, etc. (harsh)

This booth features illustrated guides and exhibits of clumsy kids found in various places.

You can also try out the clumsy child diagnosis!Family: Jumping Catfish, Genus: ClumsyIt was! You're impatient, that's clear.

Selfie Coffee Milk Mania

As I was walking around the venue, I came across something that looked familiar from supermarkets and convenience stores, so I decided to take a closer look.

These are photos of Snow Brand Coffee Milk cartons, packed with information. The exhibitors at this booth have been posting the coffee milk they've been drinking for about two years on Instagram, and seem to be self-satisfied enthusiasts who get satisfied just by looking at the photos they take.

It also includes details on the appeal of Snow Brand Coffee Milk, how he became a coffee milk selfie maniac, and how to take photos of coffee milk. It really makes me want to buy it...

Shuttermania

Even among the most enthusiastic photographers, there is a shutter enthusiast. The exhibitor here has been creating photographic works based on the shutter landscapes he saw all over Japan, drawing on his experiences in college. He takes photographs of ordinary shutters, focusing on the scenery and the interesting aspects of them.

The merchandise section included a 150-page shutter photo book and puzzles, and you could even try out some puzzles at the venue!

One-glove enthusiast

There are enthusiasts who keep an eye on the single gloves that are scattered all over town. At the merchandise booth, pamphlets and merchandise about the appeal of the single glove are on sale.

The exhibitor emphasized that the numerous photographs of the one-glove photographer taken in various locations contain stories.

This classification diagram of single gloves looks like something you'd find in a theory book. Wow... amazing (just like the others)

Other enthusiasts

A maniac for pipeline shapes in urban spaces found both in Japan and abroad.

A neo-Japanese T-shirt enthusiast, featuring strange Japanese translations from countries like Thailand.

The impact is so strong! Asia's crazy toy enthusiasts.

These are some of China's awesome toys that are unnecessarily shiny.

Street corner raccoon enthusiasts are often seen at izakayas and other places.

A strange, bizarre and unusual food enthusiast who has eaten all over the country.

A maniac who works at anime pilgrimage sites such as Kanda Myojin Shrine and Chichibu.

He is an enthusiast for eating things like shumai bento and katsu curry.

So, what do you think? I've only shown a small part of what the enthusiasts' exhibits and merchandise sales were like, but there were also many other enthusiasts' exhibits and special workshops by various enthusiasts in separate venues, making it a festival packed with content.
There will also be a festival on Sunday, February 9th, so if you're interested in the ultimate mania, be sure to join in!

Finally, the author was interested in a maniac. Is it irresistible for Ossan's LOVE?A maniac taking photos of men with the night view in the background.I was shocked...
