Report from the 61st All Japan Model Hobby Show 2023: An exhibition of many new plastic models

In this article, I would like to introduce new tools, new paints, and other new products other than models such as mooks.

Model Hobby Show held at Tokyo Big Sight

The Model Hobby Show will be held at Tokyo Big Sight from September 29th to October 1st, 2023.
The event space is in the South Building.
Since it's a new venue, it's a relatively clean one.

Argofile Japan Co., Ltd.

Argofile mainly stocks items for filing and scraping, as well as suction items.

We have all the sanding tools you've ever wanted.
I also use a router and an electric file, and it has significantly reduced the time it takes to sand.

ガイアノーツ

Gaia Notes is a representative paint manufacturer.
Every year we release new paint products.
The highlight of this time is


The colors are precise without the need for color mixing, making it easy to use for character-based hobbies.

Plastic Model Improvement Committee

The Plastic Model Improvement Committee develops a number of products that make plastic model building just that little bit more fun.

The highlight of this event is an air purifier that uses a special cleansing filter.
This product eliminates the unpleasant smell of paint thinner that inevitably occurs when painting.

Other items planned for release include an inking pen that allows you to ink in your favorite colors, and collaboration products with Racing Miku in 2023.

AIRTEX

Anyone who paints will have used an airbrush at some point.
This will be the AIRTEX booth, where such airbrushes will be introduced to the world.

Find the airbrush that's right for you by trying out different calibers, different triggers, and various combinations.

This is also the Doyusha booth, which sells a variety of tools that are useful when making models.

If you're looking for items to take photos of the finished product, you've probably seen this at least once.


The photo booth is a convenient way to take beautiful photos of your completed plastic models.
The light hits the whole body perfectly and it's a beautiful shot.

Let's look at not only models but also tools

As I keep buying new products one after another, my collection of plastic models keeps piling up.
In this situation, unless we can shorten the time required for the plastic model production process, we won't be able to keep up with the production speed, right?
There are many exciting new models and plastic models, but why not take a look at some tools as well?
