Gundam specialty store "Otakuchu. Akihabara 4th store" opens in front of Akihabara Station

How long has it been since GiGO, the red symbol in front of Akihabara Station, closed down?
On December 28, 2022, with the end of the year fast approaching, a new store will open in front of Akihabara Station.

This time, I visited Otachū's 4th store before it opened, so I'd like to share with you what it was like inside the store.

Otachū. The fourth store is a new store that will open on December 28th on the Electric Town side of Akihabara Station.
The building is marked by the Gyukaku and Maidreamin signs.
After GiGO closed, the exterior walls were repainted from red to white, and it is still a slightly unfamiliar sight.
The restaurant can be accessed from the direction where Showa Shokudo is located.
Go inside and take the elevator to the 7th floor, where you will find "Otachu. 4th store."

Gundam welcomes you at the store entrance

When you step off the elevator, you'll be greeted by Gundam, Char's Zaku, Amuro and Char.
This giant piece of art was handmade by the staff of Otachu.
It's drawn with great attention to detail.


There is a small corridor leading to the sales area inside the store, and packaging sheets are pasted all over the walls.

There were nostalgic poster designs and package designs. There was also SD Gundam.

A statue of the First Gundam is placed in the center of the store.
