Akihabara's plastic model and hobby specialty store, also selling second-hand items

A specialty store for plastic models and figures. You're sure to find what you're looking for if you browse around here.

Kotobukiya Akihabara - A wide variety of in-house products, including FA and Megami Device

They mainly sell their own kits, such as Frame Arms. They sometimes come with original bonuses, so be sure to check them out. They also sell tools.

Hobby Shop Tam Tam Akihabara Branch - Right next to Suehirocho Station

Located in a building near Suehirocho Station, this hobby shop sells plastic models on the fourth floor. They sell both character and scale model kits, as well as tools.

Volks Akihabara Hobby Heaven - Right next to Radio Kaikan

Volks is located right next to Radio Kaikan. This Volks handles a wide range of character models.

Volks Akihabara Hobby Heaven 2 - Opening October 2020

Volks opened on Chuo-dori in October 2020. The first floor carries a wide variety of robot-related plastic models and tools.

Surugaya Akihabara Plastic Model Museum - Surugaya's physical store

This is a brick-and-mortar store of the well-known online retailer "Suruga-ya." They carry a large number of new and used character scale items. However, their inventory of Idepla has been significantly reduced.

Leonardo LG Main Store - Many Used Kits

This shop is located in the Okachimachi area and sells model magazines and catalogs in addition to kits.

Leonardo LG2 store - Character models too

The second store is located closer to Akihabara than the main store. It also sells character models.

Leonardo ET - Second-hand purchases also available

I don't know the details, but Leonardo has "ET" and "LG". They also sell bag kits for experts.

Morinosato Club -Relocated to Akihabara

This plastic model shop has been in business for a long time, from Shibuya to Kinshicho to Akihabara. It mainly sells scale models, but has a relatively large selection of overseas kits.

Inside Radio Kaikan - Immediately from the Electric Town Exit

Just outside the Electric Town exit of Akihabara Station, Radio Kaikan, one of Akihabara's landmarks, is home to several stores selling plastic models.

AmiAmi Akihabara Radio Kaikan Store - AmiAmi Real Store

A brick-and-mortar store of the major online hobby retailer AmiAmi. They sell a wide variety of character-themed plastic models, including Gunpla.

Although they don't have much in stock, they also carry paints and tools.

Yellow Submarine Akihabara Main Store ★ Mint

This store handles a variety of hobby items, including figurines, trading cards, board games, and plastic models. In addition to character models, they also have a wide selection of Kale models.

Tools and paints are also sold.

Volks Hobby Square Akihabara

Volks is well known for its kits and dolls. There is a larger store nearby, but this store specializes in scale models. They also sell foreign sci-fi kits, and have a wide selection of tools.

Electronics retailer - Discounts & points rewards

Plastic models are also sold at electronics retailers. They offer high discounts and reward points, so unless you have particular preferences, it's best to buy new plastic models at a retailer.

Plastic models are available in the hobby corner.

Sofmap AKIBA 4th Store Amusement Hall - Closer to Akihabara Station

Gunpla and other character models are sold on the first floor.

Bic Camera AKIBA - opposite Bellesalle Akihabara

They mainly sell Gundam models. It's quite tiring to get to this floor by escalator.

Yodobashi Camera Multimedia Akiba - Almost everything you need
