Aoshima Shokudo is a 7-minute walk from Akihabara Station and is located near Sakuma Park.

It takes about 7 minutes on foot from JR Akihabara Station to Aoshima Shokudo Akihabara branch.

First, exit from the Showa-dori exit, go under the elevated Metropolitan Expressway Ueno Line, and then walk under the JR Sobu Line towards Asakusabashi Station.
After walking for a while, you will see a small park (Sakuma Park) on your right.
Aoshima Shokudo is located just after turning right at Sakuma Park!

It's easy to find as there will usually be a line during opening hours.
By the way, all the shutters except for the store entrance are closed even when the store is open, so be careful not to jump to the conclusion that the store is closed!

Qingdao restaurant queue

I visited around 14pm on a Saturday, and there was quite a long line that day as well.
There was a line of about 20 people outside the store, but the wait time was about 25 minutes, so the turnover rate for seats may be quite good.

Aoshima Shokudo has nine counter seats and is taking thorough measures against COVID-9.

The restaurant only has nine counter seats, which feels a bit cramped for the number of customers at this famous restaurant.
The atmosphere inside the restaurant does not seem like one where you can enjoy a leisurely meal with family or friends.

Inside Aoshima Shokudo

Although the restaurant is small, they have taken thorough measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, such as installing partitions at each seat and a temperature-measuring device at the entrance, so it seems like you can dine in with peace of mind even during the coronavirus pandemic.

Aoshima Shokudo kitchen

A vinyl partition was also installed between the counter and the kitchen to prevent droplets and other contaminants from entering the kitchen.
From the counter, you can see the large pot of soup simmering in it.The delicious smell of gingeris hanging in the air.

The menu only has one item: ginger soy sauce ramen!!!

Once you've lined up and are called inside, choose your menu from the ticket machine.
Although there is a menu of pork ramen, the basic soup is soy sauce-based.Aoshima Ramen(800 yen) only.
You can choose to have extra noodles and toppings such as char siu, spinach, bamboo shoots, green onions, and seaweed.
Other than green onions and seaweed, the prices are 50 yen or 100 yen extra, and the amount of extra topping seems to vary depending on the price.
The only increase in quantity for green onions and seaweed is 50 yen.

By the way, it seems that they also sell sake and beer, but sales were temporarily suspended due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
Aoshima Shokudo meal ticket

This time, I ordered the 1000 yen course, which included extra noodles, green onions, pork slices, and spinach, each for an additional 50 yen.
When it's nearly your turn, the staff will check your meal ticket over the counter, so if they call out to you, make sure to show them your ticket so they can see it easily.

We tried the ginger soy sauce ramen from Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture!

Once we were shown to our seats, the bowl of rice arrived in just 3 minutes!!
The subtle aroma of ginger is sure to whet your appetite.

Aoshima Shokudo Soy Sauce Ramen

The amount of green onions, pork slices, and spinach is generous, but the toppings are crammed into the bowl.
A thin layer of oil can be seen on top of the dark soy sauce-based soup.

Aoshima Shokudo Soup

Another ramen that originates from Niigata Prefecture is Tsubame-Sanjo back fat ramen, which is said to have been topped with oil to keep it warm when delivered to cold regions so that it wouldn't cool down too quickly. Is it possible that Aoshima ramen also has oil floating on top for a similar purpose?

Aoshima Shokudo Noodles

The noodles are medium-thick, a relatively common thickness for soy sauce ramen.
It also goes well with the soup!

As for the taste, the soup is a classic soy sauce soup with a strong ginger flavor.Warms the body.
Eating this ramen warms your body, which is exactly what you'd expect from someone from a snowy country.
The soup stock is a clear animal-based broth made primarily from pork, blended with plenty of ginger.
Originally, after much trial and error, a large amount of ginger was added to eliminate the pork odor, which is the main ingredient in the soup stock.
As a result, the soup has no trace of pork odor at all, and has a good balance of the rich flavor of pork bones and soy sauce, resulting in a refreshingly clean-tasting soup.
This time I went to eat it around September when the heat of summer was still lingering, but if I went in the cold winter, the ginger would permeate my body and be even more delicious.Umai! !You will feel this way.

Aoshima Shokudo Char Siu

The pork slices, which are rich in soy sauce flavor, are made from shoulder meat!
It has a firm texture and is chewy, and is made by extracting the broth from the pork slices. The fat is removed and the flavor of the meat is concentrated..
Because it's thinly sliced, even the chewy pork slices aren't too hard and can be easily chewed!

Aoshima Shokudo is the top contender for Akihabara ramen

Aoshima Shokudo is the original ginger soy sauce ramen,Impeccable qualityIt was!!
This soy sauce ramen has no distinctive flavor or odor and is likely to be popular with everyone.
If you want to eat delicious ramen in Akihabara, you can't go wrong by heading to Aoshima Shokudo!
Also, since the menu only has soy sauce ramen, there's no need to look up information beforehand, and there's no need to worry about what to order; you can simply go for the ramen, which is great.
As for the price, a bowl of soy sauce ramen without any additional toppings starts at 800 yen, so it's not expensive, but not cheap either.
