Monster Hunter Rise Switch Demo Part 2 [Weapons and New Systems]
Every time a new Monster Hunter (hereafter referred to as MH) is released, new systems and sometimes new weapons are introduced.
Hello, this is Anastasia, who is having trouble destroying Safi'to's parts and is starting to suspect that the weapon she's holding is made of styrofoam.
This time, I would like to explain the new systems that will be added in Monster Hunter Rise and all 14 types of weapons.
Those of you who grew up playing Portable or Frontier will probably be a little surprised by the types of weapons.

Monster Hunter Rise's new system: Kinsect
First, let's start with the new system'sKinsect'We will introduce you to ``.
The Kinsect, which makes its first appearance in Monster Hunter Rise, will take hunter action to a whole new level.
The image is similar to the clutch claw in Monster Hunter World, but the amazing thing about the Kinsect is that unlike the clutch claw,Can grab anywhere in the air" It looks like this.

However, the Kinsect cannot be used multiple times in succession; it can only be used when the Kinsect gauge is lit. Once the gauge runs out, it will be unusable for a while.
When you use the Kinsect, a gauge corresponding to the action is used, and when the red gauge reaches its maximum, one Kinsect gauge will be recovered.

There are multiple actions that use the Kinsect.
Below, I would like to introduce some actions that can be performed using the Kinsect.
Kinsect Action [Fast Flight]
Dash is the most basic Kinsect action and is likely to be the one you use most.
Fires a Kinsect and uses the recoil to jump and move at high speed.
This Kinsect action is used to connect various actions after Dash.

Kinsect Action [Wall Running]
By sprinting towards a wall, you can even run up a cliff.
However, wall running uses stamina, so if you run out of stamina you will no longer be able to wall run.
Wall running allows for more three-dimensional movement.

*It seems like they've become something of a household pest.
Kinsect Action [Kinsect Defensive]
An action that can be used when you are blown away by a monster's attack.
By performing a Kinsect defensive move, you can immediately take your next action.
Quickly reposition yourself and launch a counterattack!

Kinsect Action [Hanging]
You can fix the Kinsect in the air and hang it by a thread.
There is a time limit for hanging, but you can recover stamina while hanging, so you can check the situation in the air and decide your next action.

Wirebug Action [Wirebug Thread Technique]
A special weapon action using the Kinsect.
This broadens your hunting options.
It seems that those who are skilled in wirebug techniques will win the hunt.

Monster Hunter Rise Weapons: 14 Types [By Type]
Monster Hunter Rise has14 species ofThere are various weapon types.
The number of weapons has increased since the first Monster Hunter game, and now there are 14 types.
Weapon type distribution
・11 types of melee weapons
・3 types of ranged weapons
Has become.
Including the wirebug techniques introduced in the Wirebug section, I'm already wondering which weapon to use.
Here we will introduce the weapons that can be used by type.
With each series, the weapons' unique characteristics gradually become stronger, giving the feeling that they have been further refined.
Great Sword/Long Sword [Long Weapon Type]
These are two types of two-handed sword-type weapons.
The greatsword is a sluggish weapon that emphasizes the power of a single blow.
The tachi allows for faster movement than the greatsword and excels at consecutive attacks.
Its parabolic attack motion makes it good at attacking high targets such as the tail and wings.
The controls are relatively simple, so it's recommended for people just starting out with Monster Hunter.

One-handed sword/dual swords [dagger type]
Although it is called a short sword, it is classified as a long sword rather than a dagger or knife.
The one-handed sword user holds a shield in his right hand, allowing him to guard with the shield.
Another advantage is that you can use items while holding a weapon, allowing you to recover quickly.
Dual swords are a fighting style in which you hold a weapon in each hand.
It is not good at attacking high places, but it has a lot of attacks and high instantaneous firepower.
Its movement speed is also fast, so when combined with the Kinsect, it seems like it will allow for a more three-dimensional fighting style.

Lance/Gunlance [Spear type]
A defensive weapon with a huge spear and a huge shield.
Since its movements are slow, it is important to guard well with a shield and counterattack.
It excels at fixed-point attacks and is a weapon that gives the impression of fighting with a solid stance.
The lance's charging action has been strengthened, while the gunlance's firing action has been strengthened.

Hammer/Hunting Horn [Shot]
These two types of weapons have striking properties.
You can stun a monster by attacking its head.
The hammer has aggressive capabilities that allow for powerful charged attacks, while the hunting horn can be used as a support weapon, increasing and healing the status of yourself and your allies with the sound you play.
It's the kind of behind-the-scenes role that you want at least one person in your party.

Switch Axe/Charge Axe [Axe type]
He has the unique ability to fight using both an axe and a sword.
The Switch Axe is used in axe form, but powerful attacks are performed in sword form.
The Charge Axe fights in sword form, but can be used in axe form when necessary.
Both can unleash powerful attacks when they transform, but they require some preparation before they can be effective, so it may take some time to get used to them.
By the way, I mainly used the Charge Axe in World.

Insect stick [special type]
This is the newest weapon type added in Monster Hunter 4.
It is a special weapon that allows you to fight using jumping actions with weapons and extracts from hunting insects.
Managing the insects is a little complicated, but the insect glaive has some unique advantages, such as its strength when strengthened and the ability to completely block some attacks by jumping.
When fighting Elder Dragons, I often use the Insect Glaive.

Light Bowgun/Heavy Bowgun [Ranged]
Although it is called a crossbow, visually it gives the impression of an LMG or assault rifle.
You will need to use different types of bullets and mix them together, so if you've used a melee weapon before, hunting will be difficult until you get used to the unique controls.
It is definitely a powerful weapon if you can master it, so it is a weapon that we recommend trying out first.
It is often listed as one of the most powerful weapons, but because of its unique usage, it is a weapon type that is quite difficult to bring out its potential.

Bow [Shooting]
It is a weapon whose action changes slightly with each series.
When it first appeared, it only had charge, critical distance, and shooting type.
Due to the action of pulling the string, stamina is consumed while pulling the string.
This weapon is for advanced players who need to manage distance from the enemy, effective range, and stamina while fighting.
Another feature is that its performance changes depending on the bottle attached.
