[Super fast startup] Replace your HDD with an SSD for stress-free operation
When I try to work on my PC, I have to wait even after starting it up.
This is very stressful, isn't it?
Press the power button! → Starts up instantly! → Press the app icon! → Start working!
I would like it to be seamless.
So this time, I wanted to speed up my PC, so I replaced the HDD with an SSD, and I'd like to introduce it to you!
What is the difference between HDD and SSD?
There are websites that provide detailed numbers on read and write methods and speeds, so if you want to know the exact numbers, check them out!!
Here I would like to briefly explain the differences between HDDs and SSDs.
HDD characteristics
・Data reading and writing is slower than SSD (speed you can feel).
- Cheaper than SSDs
- Less durable than SSDs
・Large compared to SSD
SSD Features
・Data reading and writing is faster than HDD (at least 3 to 4 times faster)
※There may be some ups and downs depending on the item.
- More expensive than HDD
-Higher durability than HDD
・Compared to HDDs, they are smaller (some are about the size of an eraser)
Why switch to an SSD?
The main feature of SSDs is that they can read and write data faster than HDDs.
The time it takes from pressing the power button on your PC to actually being able to use it is incredibly fast.
Although this is a very extreme example
In case of HDD → 1 minute to start up
In the case of SSD → 10 seconds to start
There is such a big difference.
After seeing this, you might want to upgrade to an SSD too.
Replacement SSD
This is the SSD I'm replacing!
Crucial MX500!
It's a 2.5-inch SSD with a capacity of 500GB!
I think this size is just right for everyday PC use.

There was a weekend sale at TSUKUMO in Akihabara.7000 yuanI was lucky to be able to buy it.
There are cheaper models available, but this time I would like to go with Crucial, which is reliable and trustworthy.

How to replace the SSD
*The procedure may vary slightly depending on the PC case and configuration. The PC we will be working on is a mid-tower desktop PC, which is currently the mainstream.
First, remove the side panel to access the interior.

Next, remove the original HDD.
It is secured with screws, so remove all the screws and remove it from the main body.

Disconnect the SATA cable (left side) and power cable (right side) from the HDD.

All that's left to do is connect the disconnected terminal to the SSD and you're done!
See, it's easy, right?

All that's left to do is install Windows and add the necessary software and you're done!
This will shorten the startup time, so you can say goodbye to the stress of waiting for it to start up!

Try installing SSDs in other devices too
Replacing the SSD is actually very easy.
There are many devices other than PCs that can be equipped with SSDs.
I'm also hoping to see increased speeds on my laptop and PS4, so I'd like to upgrade those as well if I get the chance.

↓Reading and writing recorded videos is also super fast!
↓Game startup and loading speeds are also super fast!
