[Steam] Recommended games totaling 1 yen [Halloween Sale]

Akihabara BC

I was nervous that there would be a Halloween sale this year.
Before I knew it, the sale had started quietly, as silently as a ghost.
The holding period is10 / 29 to 11 / 2(until 10:XNUMX am).
It's surprisingly short, so just buy it and play!

I wrote before[Steam] Highly Recommended Games for ¥1 Out of Pocket [Summer Sale]The article was surprisingly well-received, so even though it wasn't a big sale,
"We should do it on Halloween too."
So, of course, I, the author, Mr. ABC, would like to once again go out of my way to introduce some recommended games that can be purchased for a total of less than 1 yen.

Highly Recommended Games for ¥1 Out of Your Own Spend [Steam Halloween Sale Edition - Rules]

As with the previous summer sale article, we will carefully select the rules.
"〇 Recommended games!" While introducing it as "I'm pretty sure you haven't played any of the titles you've introduced..." is a bit of a weird site and I personally don't like it.

- During the Halloween sale, only 1 yen can be used to purchase games.
*Includes DLC and soundtrack set.
・We will not introduce software that you have already purchased.
※Because I can't buy it for myself...
・When introducing games in articles, only games that have been played for more than two hours will be accepted.
*If you play for up to 2 hours you can get a refund, so that's not good.

Personally, I love horror games, so I usually recommend "I recommend dark horror games!I would like you to take into consideration players who are displayed with this message.

*I realized that I had forgotten to take pictures after purchasing some software, so please be aware that there are some software that I have already purchased.

We also have an article on controllers that are perfect for Steam, so please take a look if you're interested.

Highly Recommended Games for ¥1 Out of Your Own [Steam Halloween Sale Edition]

Now that we've gone over the rules, I'd like to introduce some recommended games from the Halloween sale that will cost you 1 yen out of your own pocket.
Again, "Play for exactly 2 hours or more"We only introduce games that are non-refundable and truly recommended for people who can truly recommend them.
I think it may suit some people but not others, but I believe that anyone who isn't a fan of the genre of games I'm introducing will be able to appreciate the fun of it.
※There is a theory that gamers are omnivorous, so I think that almost anything is okay.

Salt and Sanctuary [445 yen]

Although it was released a while ago in 2016, it's a game that you'll find yourself wanting to play over and over again.
"2D Dark SoulsIt has become a so-called death game genre, as it is often referred to as "the death game genre."
The difficulty level feels relatively mild, but it's still a challenging game.

During the Halloween sale, this is one of the games that can be purchased for just one coin and can be played for quite a long time.
For now, if you're not good at action but you like it, try the starting job.knightOrPaladinWe recommend that you proceed in this manner.

You can progress relatively quickly!

BIOHAZARD RE:2 (2,473 yen)

A remake of Resident Evil 2, which was released for the original PlayStation.
Although it is called a remake, it has been heavily remade based on the original Biohazard 2.
The graphics have improved dramatically (although it's not comparable to the specs or development environment at the time).

The world is dark overall, and the tension of survival horror is fully conveyed.
The battle system has also been completely redesigned, and the TPS perspective makes it even moreAim" This action becomes important.
Unlike Biohazard 4 to 6, which are both TPS games, it's not designed to mow down enemies and move forward.Fight or fleeare constantly being pressured to do so.

Recently, many works have been released in the form of remakes, but RE:2 is a wonderfully crafted work that makes a big splash.

CARRION [1,537 yen]

Become a mysterious soft-bodied tentacled bio-creature and devour people!
A Metroidvania-style game in which you take on the role of an unidentified mollusk creature and attack people while clearing maps.
It can move freely by attaching its tentacles to walls and ceilings, allowing it to move through most visible spaces.
*However, there are many confined spaces, so there is no sense of openness.

Basically, you move around the map, solving puzzles and progressing forward, but I found myself moving the joystick around aimlessly as I ate people while moving around the map freely.
It's a slightly gory game, but as I played I found myself growing attached to the tentacle creature character I controlled.
This is a title that will appeal to anyone looking for a unique exploration game.

CODE VEIN [3,608 yen]

CODE VEIN, which has received high praise from some circles, is also included in this Halloween sale.
An hour can easily be lost just in character creation, showing the great amount of attention to detail that went into just creating the characters.
*There are quite a few preset characters alone.

CODE VEIN's difficulty level is quite high, and even the first dungeon was quite challenging, so much so that I had to restart it several times.
※This guy is always playing death games.
There is also a strategic element to the game, as players must use attack, defense, dodge, parry, and other skills, so the game is not designed to be played by simply brute force.
People who aren't good at action games may find it difficult, but having a buddy provides some relief.
It might be the perfect introduction to death games.
Anyway, the characters are... well

え ち え ち
At just 2 hours long, it's still early on, so there aren't many characters appearing, but the characters are all designed to give us hope for more to come!
I think it's worth buying just to look at the characters!!

Dying Light [1,387 yen]

Next up is Dying Light, a post-apocalyptic parkour zombie game.
Recent reviews have been overwhelmingly positive.
It is a stylish work in which the protagonist runs around a world overrun by zombies on his own.
The key to self-defense is to find a safe house during the day and avoid the zombies that become more violent at night.
The zombies are numerous and surprisingly tough, and their weapons have durability, so in the early stages you will inevitably choose to run away.

In Dying Light, you can gain experience points just by flying or running around the city, so it's not just a matter of running away.
As of October 30th, a Halloween event is also being held, so if you've been interested but haven't picked up the game yet, this might be a good opportunity to play it.

Little Nightmares [484 yen]

For those who have had enough of zombies and monsters, I recommend Little Nightmares, which has a unique world view and atmosphere.
Little Nightmares is a game in which you control the main character, a young girl who wakes up in a ship's cabin and solves various puzzles.
The only thing the girl has is a lighter.
All it can do is jump a little high and do normal things like pulling things.
Although it is a typical puzzle-solving game, what is particularly noteworthy is the atmosphere within the game.
At the beginning of the film, the eerie background can be sensed from the sudden appearance of a person's feet off-screen.

The size of the stage can be seen from the contrast between the chains and the girl in the background and foreground of the screen.

In Little Nightmares, rather than direct surprise or fear,I feel as if I'm being swallowed up by an indescribable eerie atmosphere.

1 yen out of my own pocket - results!

Out-of-pocket amount:9,934 yen!
Amount difference: 66 yen

It feels like I spent the 1 yen relatively well.
I personally love horror and zombie games, so the Halloween sale was a great opportunity to get all the horror games on my wishlist at once.
On the other hand, I feel like this sale might not be very appealing for people who don't like that sort of thing.
There are some sales on items other than horror games, but these are weekend sales or special promotions, so the discounts on some items may not be as good.

Now...what should I do with all these games, and I haven't even finished the ones I piled up during the summer sale?
*I have purchased other software besides the one introduced.
