Report on Takara Tomy's 2021 General Shareholders Meeting [TF, Zoids, DM, Bay]

Takatomi General Meeting 2021 venue

The venue for this general shareholders' meeting will be the usual "Katsushika Symphony Hills"!!

...No, it was the Hulic Hall on the 2nd floor of the Hulic Asakusabashi Building in front of JR Asakusabashi Station.
The design concept for this building was apparently created by Kengo Kuma, an architect well known for the much talked about New National Stadium.
The Mozart Hall at Symphony Hills, which was used until last year, has a capacity of 1318 people, while the Asakusabashi Hulic Hall has a capacity of 400 people.
This means that the scale has been reduced due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In fact, the notice of the meeting includes a message such as "Please do not attend if possible," and measures are taken such as streaming the meeting on demand afterwards.
Well, I'm gone now.
Personally, I find this venue easier to access, so I hope they will continue to hold the event here in the future.

Takatomi General Meeting 2021 Admission

After having your temperature taken at the entrance to the venue, you will receive your admission ticket, attendance sheet, the Yatsutaki (a card to be held up during the Q&A session), and the convocation notice before entering.

There were no souvenirs, but we were given a bag containing tea and a mask.
Please note that eating and drinking are prohibited inside the venue.

Same as last yearThere are no exhibits of any kind.
There were about 150 seats spaced apart, and about 50 people attended.

Now, regarding the important business reports and Q&A sessions, we will pick out and introduce only the parts that are interesting for otaku to hear.
By the way, recording is prohibited inside the venue, so the notes I took are based on my vague recollection of the original content.

Business Report

In the new medium-term management plan, the company explained that until now it had targeted toys at 3-6 year olds, but in light of changes in the environment such as COVID-19, declining birthrates, and kidults, it would now propose "play" to all ages, and would like to promote classic brands and IP that are suitable for each region.

This year's event will be held at a smaller venue

This year's event was held at a smaller venue, but it was more lively(?) than last year.
The names of various content were mentioned, and it was fun to listen.
I hope that next year we will be able to hold an exhibition as well.
