[VR Sales Event] I went to ComicVket and Mket

Akihabara BC

Summer of 2020.
With August upon us, summer is in full swing.
How are you doing these days, with the cicadas singing loudly outside and heat rising from the asphalt?
Due to the impact of the coronavirus that began at the beginning of this year, all events for the rest of the year have been canceled.
Of course, doujinshi sales events are also affected by this.

However, in the midst of all this, a virtual doujinshi event calledComicVketI recently visited Vket (hereafter referred to as Vket), and would like to share my report with you today.
This time, VKet will beVRChat' is used to participate.

Dive into Virtual Akihabara with VRChat

This sale will be held in Akihabara.
However, since Akihabara is in a virtual space, you obviously cannot participate in person.
So, ABC's secret weapon with a virtual body,Anastasia'.

Let me explain!
Anastasia is the official VTuber of Akihabara Base Camp and the unofficial goodwill ambassador of Akihabara!

First, let me explain the quick path to VKet.
Launch VRChat, which you have downloaded in advance.

Enter your user ID and password to log in to the VR space.
*Registering for VRChat will help you get things done more efficiently, so be sure to register in advance.

First, you land in your room, and from there you can use portals to travel to various worlds.
Here is the avatar Anastasia will be using this time!

mackerel!!
Sabastasia! This is the avatar I use because I want to do this.
It's a cute one that sinks into the ground when you sit on it!

Now that I've set up my avatar, let's head to Vket (Virtual Akihabara).
First, open the VRChat menu and click "WorldsSelect '.

So then "ComicVket & MusicVketYou can choose the world you want to go to.
All that's left to do is press the GO button to move to the Vket world.

ComicVket [Virtual Akihabara Entrance]

When you step onto Vket, you'll see the ComicVket arch!

There are many information boards at the entrance, and just seeing them gets you excited.

Of course, a venue guide map is also provided.
If you take a screenshot of this and display it on another monitor, it will be easy to get around the venue.
What? You mean it can only be used in a dual monitor desktop environment?
Don't worry about the small stuff!

There is also a list of staff, so if you have any problems, they will help you if you ask.

There is also a warp panel located a short distance from the entrance, making it easy to move around the venue.

ComicVket [Participating Circle Space]

Next up is ComicVket'sParticipating circle spaceIt is.
The circle area is an island, which really captures the atmosphere of a sales event.

On the tableSample magazineIt is also placed firmly.

You can pick up the sample magazine and look inside, and it's quite elaborately made.

red"Info buttonPressing this will launch your browser and allow you to view information about the circle.
You can also purchase doujinshi from the circle information page, so if you're interested, I recommend you give it a click!

You can buy doujinshi by famous authors without having to wait in line, which is a super hot feature that can only be found online!

And at large doujin events like Comiket, one of the things to look forward to is the corporate booths, but this time the atmosphere was a little different.
In the past, many companies participating in the event were makers of beautiful girl games, publishing companies, and other merchandise companies, but this time, since it was a virtual Akihabara, many companies with physical stores in Akihabara participated.
We are participating as a sponsoring company, but this has an interesting atmosphere that is different from other events.
*Click here for a list of supporting companies

There may be some companies whose names make it unclear what they are exhibiting.
So here are some selected images!

Hmm, it really does have an Akihabara feel to it.

In addition, Toppan Printing has opened a cafe.

They even distributed avatars that can be used in VRChat and introduced official ComicVket merchandise!

I also saw Mket [Seikima II and Nier also participated]

Since it's a good opportunityMketI also participated in the event.

On Mket, you can listen to the music created by each group, and if you like it, you can purchase it right away.
This also has the same specifications as ComicVket.

Well, personally, I think the best thing about Mket is the corporate booths.
That's because some pretty amazing big names are participating.
Boom!

Seikima II! ! ! !

No, no, no, why!?
It may sound strange to say this, but Seikima-II will be exhibiting at a booth.
Of course, you can also purchase the songs.
Seikima-II's staple song "Wax Museum' is also available for listening and purchase.

You can also buy some armor.
I don't know what scene it will be used in, but maybe it will be used as formal attire when going to a demonic world...

There are even booths for otakus like AimaRine and Nier.
*On the other hand, otakus seem to like bands like Seikima-II.

The Nier booth also sells 2B and 9S avatars that were previously sold and can be used in VRChat.
If you weren't able to purchase it, now's your chance! Click!

Participate in a doujinshi sales event in a VR space that mimics Akihabara [ComicVket]

This was the first time that a sale was held in a VR space, but after participating, I felt that it was a good idea.
You don't have to worry about the weather
・No need to wait in line
・People from rural areas can easily participate
No need to travel with a lot of luggage
Just looking at the above, I think there are plenty of benefits.
It may not be enough for those who want to feel like they're at a festival or who value meeting people offline, but personally I hope that online events will continue in the future.

Bonus: A faithful (?) recreation of Akihabara

Since I had the chance, I decided to take a little stroll around Akihabara in the VR space.
There may be some buildings that are familiar to people who visit Akihabara regularly.
I'll also post a photo of the location that served as the model!

I think the sign is more famous than the building itself.

This is the holy land of a famous idol group!

This is probably the shop I use the most in Akihabara.

It's so intricate that they even created a back alley like this.
It seems they haven't built a parking lot.
