[Akihabara] A first-time visit to a con cafe was fun for a beginner.

I've never been to a con cafe before, so I decided to try one this time!
As a beginner at maid cafes, I've written an article about my impressions, so please read it if you're interested!

And this time, we visited "Yugen Hotel"Mr. is.

What is Yugen Hanten?

"Yugen Hotel" is set in China, and the cast plays the Chinese monster "Jiangshi" and customers will be greeted with "Taoist priestIt is a concept cafe with the setting "

The store is located about a 5-minute walk from the Electric Town exit of Akihabara Station, in the same building as the Lawson convenience store famous for its Dragon Quest sound effects.

Let's sneak into the Ghost Restaurant!!

When the elevator opened, I was greeted by a Chinese worldview, as the interior was based on the concept of Jiangshi.

Those visiting for the first time can rest assured that Jiangshi will give a detailed explanation.

For Taoist priests visiting for the first time, there was an underworld experience course.
There are two types of underworld experience courses: a cafe course and a bar course.

This time I chose the Bar course.

There is a detailed description for each drink!

The level of your Underworld Card increases depending on the number of times you visit the store, and it seems that each Underworld Card comes with various perks such as food and games.
There are also "Imperial Decree Notes" that you can receive every time you visit the store, and there are special benefits you can get by collecting these notes.
One Imperial Decree will give you a complimentary snack, and 30 Imperial Decree will give you a letter from your favorite Jiangshi.
And if you collect 9999 imperial decree slips, the Jiangshi will grant you one wish.
Your dreams will expand!

After the explanation from the jiangshi, the jiangshi first puts a talisman (imperial decree talisman) on the customer to prevent evil from attaching to them.

They will perform a ritual to activate the effects of the talisman.

"Protect me!"

Then, after the purification ceremony was over, the food we had ordered was brought out.

This restaurant, Yugen Hanten, has a wide variety of food on the menu.

You can enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine that is not only beautiful to look at but also delicious to eat.
The two menu items I ordered this time, "Grilled Black Rock Pig" and "Dim Sum Set", were both delicious!

The fillings of the "xiaolongbao" in particular were well-seasoned and just the right amount of flavor. The wrapper itself was chewy and delicious.

If you order "Grilled Dragonfly" or "Baked Xiaolongbao", Jiangshi will show you his fire magic to make your food even more delicious!
This is a menu item that first-time visitors should definitely order.

The flames burning in front of me were incredibly impressive.
It's sure to be Instagrammable!

However, according to the new Jiangshi, it takes a lot of training to be able to perform this magic.

All the Jiangshi were easy to talk to, and they all kept a normal tone so it felt very natural and easy to talk to them, without having to get excited like at a maid cafe.
The atmosphere of the entire shop was very homey, and even though I was feeling a little nervous, I felt comfortable there, and before I knew it, time had flown by.
Customers kept coming in one after the other, so it's easy to see why it's such a popular restaurant.

My first impressions of going to Yugen Hanten (Con Cafe)

It was my first time going to a maid cafe, and my honest impression was that it was a lot of fun.
Before going, I thought I would have to go with a high-energy vibe like at a maid cafe, but it wasn't like that at all. The conversation was at a normal pace, and I personally found it very comfortable.
The atmosphere of the shop is great, and the Jiangshi are easy to talk to, so you could stay there for hours.
During the interview, several customers who seemed to be regulars came in, so it was understandable why they would want to come back again and again.
Before I knew it, more than an hour had passed since we had infiltrated.
There was so much more I could experience, from playing games with Jiangshi to taking instant photos, so it was a maid cafe I'd like to visit again.

I would definitely recommend "Yuugen Hanten" to those who have been to a maid cafe before, as well as those who have not yet been.

How to get to Yugen Hanten

Introducing how to get to Yugen Hanten from the Electric Town exit of Akihabara Station!

Once you exit the Electric Town Exit, pass by Radio Kaikan.

Turn right at the standing soba restaurant "Fuji Soba."

Cross the crosswalk on Chuo-dori Street where Matsumotokiyoshi is located,

After crossing the crosswalk, turn right and head towards Bellesalle Akihabara.

When you arrive at Bellesalle Akihabara, turn left towards Akihabara Cultures.

If you continue straight ahead, you will see the sign for "Yuugen Restaurant"!!

When you see the sign, turn right and continue straight down Akihabara Junk Street.

Then, I found "Yuugen Hanten" on my left hand side!!

On the first floor of the same building is a Lawson convenience store that has become famous for playing Dragon Quest sound effects.
